For Sale: Antique Bernard Lyon French Mantle Clock Movement with Dial and Bezel
This is a working Movement but not knowing the Service History it will be sold As Is for Repair/Restore or Parts.
Movement is clean. No damaged Wheel\'s or Gears. Both Mainsprings wind and do work. The Suspension Spring appears to be undamaged but it is untested. The Bell is missing from this movement and is not included. Both Brass Mounting Straps are solid and the screws are installed. There is no Back Door included with this set. Movement marks and trademarks are in photos 7 & 8.
The Dial and Bezel are brass. The Dial has a beautiful Slate Face with recessed Gold Painted Roman Numerals. The Hands are brass. The Bezel does not open and close smooth. It is hard to close and once it snap\'s shut it isdifficult to get open. The Hinge is tight and not loose. The Bezel Glass is original and has the beveled edge on the outside perimeter. No chip\'s or cracks. There are a few light scratches but nothing major. Looking straight on it show\'s well and is clear.
Measurements- Movement Winding Posts are 1 1/2\'\' on center. Winding Posts to the Center Shaft are 7/8\'\' on center. The Dial across the front measures 4 7/16\'\' in diameter. The brass mounting straps will mount to a Back Door with the mounting holes that would have to be around 3 5/8\'\' on center. The Movement Plates are 3 1/4\'\' in diameter. The back of the dial that will fit into the clock case opening is 4\'\' in diameter.
