Purchased in Kyoto during the mid 70sEiichi Kotozuka (1906-1981) was a 20th century Japanese Woodblock Printmaker known for Sosaku-Hanga or sole creator school of woodblock printing. His prints feature nature and are emotionally expressive.Uchida Woodblock Printing Co was founded in 1909 and is still in operation in Kyoto & Tokyo. Known for preserving & teaching traditional woodblock art & printing skills.Print is 16" x 12"
Frame is 21" x 17"Condition is used. Vintage item in original frame. The frame shows some small nicks, scrapes, dents or splitting wood. Paper on back has torn but has not been removed. (see pictures). Metal wire needs to be replaced. Has original japanese seal and english label from the Uchida Woodblock Printing co. In Kyoto Japan. Glass is intact with no chips or damage.
