This clock is offered as a working, vintage clock in excellent used condition (I can find one visible scuff mark on the case; see the pictures) with a clean and unblemished Franz Hermle 2-jewel German movement. General Motors presented it to an employee upon their 25th year with the company in 1984, as stated by a small placard attached to the rear panel (see the pictures), and the owner took outstanding care of it. It has a lovely Westminster chime that strikes on the hour and quarter hours. There is a chime-silencing lever on the dial face if you prefer to silence it. I\'ve had it testing on my bench for a week. It runs beautifully and accurately (It loves to tick). It only needed a light cleaning of the pivot holes with peg wood, and I appropriately lubricated it. It\'s ready to add some classic charm to your home or office or as an addition to your collection.
While I accept no-questions-asked returns for 30 days (The buyer pays for return postage), I\'d like to avoid returns if possible, so look carefully and ensure this is the clock for you.
Keep \'em ticking!
As they say,\"This is a labor of love.\" I am an enthusiastic amateur antique clock collector, repairer, restorer, and NAWCC member. I scour estate sales, garage sales, antique shops, and sales, where I buy clocks in any repair (or disrepair) to return them to proper running condition. Occasionally, like minded people will donate their old clocks to the cause, also.
These days, the repair cost for these common American antique and vintage clocks usually exceeds there sale value, so these are the clocks I try to save.
I have too many clocks at home (at least my wife thinks so), so I have begun selling some better examples to make room (and provide funds) for more clocks that need my help. I\'ve priced this excellent example to sell. So, please help the cause and buy it.
PLEASE EXAMINE THE IMAGES AND DESCRIPTIONS CLOSELY.
