Rare Musical Animated Doll--Happyland Musical Automation Dolls, 16" For Sale

This delightful automated doll belonged to my mother, and she loved it. The wind-up music box is in good condition, and plays "A Time for Us" from "West Side Story." The doll's head raises and lowers as her hands move over theharp strings. She is fully clothed, including white leatherette tie shoes that are not seen unless the dress is lifted.Atop the doll's long beautifully brushed blonde hair is a white bow with long trailing ends. The harp is plastic withwire strings, and there is a large wide-up key in the back. The doll and harp sit on a 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" x 3 1/4" covered square decorated with gold metallic lace and a metal plate with "Musical Animated Doll" etched on it. The entirepiece stands 16-inches tall. For an automated piece that is probably over50-years-old, it is in excellent condition,including the winding mechanism, which does not show any inclination to lock. There is no original box.The doll weighs 1 lb. 6 oz. and will be very carefully packed and shipped in a sturdy container--I do recycle, so itmay look odd.
