This antique postcard by S Langdorf is numbered E-1013 and features "Steamer Providence Fall River Line". That line was a combination rail and ship service that ran between New York and Boston, and often serviced the Vanderbilts, Astors, Rockefellers, and even US Presidents. The sender mentions the rough seas and a delayed arrival. The card is postmarked 1908 and was sent to Mr. Minot P Garey in East Weymouth Massachusetts.Posted. Some ink at left and into sky area. Edge and corner wear consistent with a vintage postcard.
