Victorian Little Girl w Cocker Spaniel Dog + Doll Antique Framed Photo 17 x 13
Charming Victorian framed photograph of very pretty little girl holding a doll with her dog at her side. She is seated on a scrolled peacock back wicker chair and is wearing ribbons in her hair.
Her frock seems to have lace short sleeves and her shoes are black lace-up boots. Her dog looks like either a cocker spaniel or a retriever with long black ears and is nested against her dress.
The paper backing of the frame has been taped - it looks like someone gently cut the backing to see underneath. The photo has a sturdy cardboard stock - though there is a crack in the backing (see pix) it does NOT impact the actual photo in any way - see pix. Someone recently added a modern hanging hook at the top.
This large wood-framed photograph which is under glass measures 17" tall x 13" wide.
The wooden frame appears to be actually carved (not gesso?) on both outer and inner sections with a dark green painted cove moulding in-between. The corners are loose but an easy fix.
Overall a very charming photograph.
