It comes from a smoke-free home.
I noted it as new because it was never mailed. However, the gem portion was clearly attached to sleeve when first displayed for sale as indicated by the detach instructions (see pic)

Nor too long ago, my mother passed away, with dementia being the primary factor. I am finally in a place to start dealing more with all the items remaining in her estate. For years while she was alive, I couldn't bring myself to do it. She was a consummate environmentalist and hated the thought of our landfills being filled or our oceans polluted. That is why formany things I have decided to sell instead of donate. That way I know for sure they find their place in the home of someone that wants it, not in a landfill. With her items, I am now going to donate 20% of each sale to organizations that research for the cure and support caregivers of dementia patients. Each listing may support a different organization.
