View Larger Image   Siskiyou Ames Tools Belt Buckle Panama   Description: This is a very nicely styled belt buckle the reads "AMES TOOLS BUILDING THE PANAMA CANAL" on the face, showing fine detail of men working, using hand tools in the center, the work they accomplished in the oval frame, a map of the region in the upper center, and two shovels types they used on the left and right sides. This is a limited production, quality cast pewter like metal, and is quite sturdy. The back is marked "SISKIYOU BUCKLE CO. INC. WILLIAMS OREGON C1982 SERIAL NO. 3624 1988 LIMITED EDITION" and a note "PANAMA CANAL THE PANAMA CANAL WAS STARTED IN 1904 AND COMPLETED IN 1914. THE CANAL IS OVER 50 MILES LONG AND RANKS AS ONE OF THE GREATEST ENGINEERING ACHIEVEMENTS IN THE WORLD AMES SHOVELS PLAYED A MAJOR ROLE IN DIGGING THIS FAMOUS WATERWAY". Condition is very good with little or no sign of being used.
