Please view images. I think the ends of the strands of wicker can be tied in again. Measures 7 in. diameter and is 2.5 in. tall with the lid on. Use as intended or display. Countless other items than sewing supplies may be stored in this basket. Vintage would be from the '30's-'40's I believe.The cover is decorated with several glass beads, There are some loose ones inside the basket so you may add them back on.
