*RARE* Antique Panhandle Railroad Milk Can Burgettstown Washington County PA~From Dairy Farmer Fabian Dragnett~ Can is about 19 inches tall and is about 11.25 inches across the bottom. Plunge style lid still looks good. Bottom is solid. I see a small hole to the right of the brass tag. Can has some dents but nothing terrible. Handles are strong. Lid seems stuck but I am not going to tug on it. Historical Provenance: This milk can belonged to Fabian Dragnett, a documented dairy farmer operating in Hanover Township / Burgettstown, Washington County, Pennsylvania. Dragnett farmed the area in the 1800\'s & 1900s until his passing around 1932. The custom brass plate was soldered to the can to identify his property while shipping milk along the Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Chicago and St. Louis Railroad (commonly known as the Panhandle Railroad or P.H.R.R.) out of the Burgettstown depot. Verified by Washington County historical and genealogical records, this is a true piece of Western Pennsylvania agricultural and railroad history. This is a rare one for sure. Enjoy!
