Up for sale is a vintage Sargent No. 714 cast iron hand jack plane (equivalent in size to a Stanley No. 5, measuring ~14" long). Raised "SARGENT 714" lettering cast into the bed behind the front knob.

Condition:
Vintage tool in as-found, uncleaned condition. Cast iron sole and body show heavy surface rust, oxidation, and shop dust, but bed casting remains solid with no visible cracks. The rear wooden tote handle has chipping, tape/wear, and signs of repair at the top horn. All mechanical adjustments (depth wheel and lever) move, though cleaning and restoration will be needed for active woodworking use.
