The AMAZING HALLMARKS on the back of the pin, as shown in the second picture and the seial number in the third picture on the bottom tells the story of this particular sorority pin:
The pin badge was made in the late 1960s early 1970s.
So the seed pearls are REAL since that is what the sorority used at the time.
The K127 serial number was a sequential inventory number indicating a low number of pins made in this style of alternating Gold color.
The Temple roof and Pillars with B enclosed in a shield represent the LG Balfour company that manufactured the pin.The alternating white and gold is a premium design that Balfour offered in their CATALOGUE with an additional fee.The 10K represents that it is Gold.
