$27.77

Original 1822 New Hampshire land deed in which Nathanael Appleton Haven of Portsmouth conveys extensive tracts of land in Bethlehem, Grafton County to John Haven (A.W. Haven), Merchant. The deed describes multiple numbered lots across numerous ranges, each approximately fifty acres, all part of the estate of Joseph Bartlett, deceased. Fully handwritten in period ink with legal language typical of early 19th‑century New England conveyances.

Nathanael Appleton Haven (1762–1831) A prominent Portsmouth gentleman, merchant, and public figure. Haven served in civic roles and belonged to one of New Hampshire’s well‑known mercantile families. His name appears frequently in early‑19th‑century land transfers, estate settlements, and business records.

John Haven (A.W. Haven) A Portsmouth merchant active in regional land acquisition and trade. Members of the Haven family were influential in New Hampshire commercial life, and their deeds are collected for their connection to early settlement patterns in Grafton County and the White Mountains region.

A substantial early New Hampshire land deed with detailed metes‑and‑bounds descriptions and multiple parcels—excellent for collectors of New England history, genealogy, and early American legal documents. Paper shows expected folds, toning, and minor edge wear consistent with age. Exact item shown.
