These five volumes were found together, and their bindings are identical, so I am leaving the lot intact. First, we have a three volume set titled “The History of Maritime and Inland Discovery”. 1830 date on the first two title pages, the third volume dated 1831. Next, we have complete in two volumes, The Natural History of Fishes, Amphibians, and Reptiles. 1838 and 1839 dates on the two title pages.
These are beautiful books. Each one measures 4 3/8” x 6 3/4”. Beautiful condition. They display beautifully. No musty or smoky odors. These books were meticulously made, and very well respected once owned. See photos.
