Here\'s a rare canary vaseline early flint glass big heavy 10 1/2\"tall pillar mold decanter with crude uneven sheared lip and polished/ground pontil.....hand blown by a Pittsburgh glasshouse in the 1850s. Thick heavy flint glass....yellow vaseline or canary glass glows brightly under blacklight.....8 pillars beginning at base and tapering up to a large applied shoulder ring.....10 1/2\"tall x 4\"across base........Excellent shiny nice condition with only a neatly drilled hole near base; no other damage or issues. Displays great. A nice clean decanter...very hard to find in canary yellow color! ...These are often called \"Steamboat\" decanters because they were popular on the steamboats going up and down the Mississippi and Ohio Rivers. The larger bottom and heavy glass made it very difficult for this decanter to fall over, even when the going was rough..FREE SHIPPING WITH TRACKING ANYWHERE WITHIN THE U.S.A......
