Original Meiji 24 (1891) Japanese lithograph print titled “Imperial Army Grand Parade at Otsu”,
depicting the 4th Division, 9th Infantry Regiment during an Imperial inspection.
Drawn by Suekichi Asai, published and printed by Inosuke Torii in Kyoto.
The detailed composition shows marching infantry, cavalry officers, and the regimental band
parading before the Emperor’s flag, with the Rising Sun and national flags above.
The background includes the Otsu–Kyoto garrison buildings and landscape of Lake Biwa.
