Wonderful large Victorian Scrapbook dated 1895/96 for the Ephemera and historical literary celebrity autograph collectors. There are a variety of colorful Victorian trade, Merit, stamps/stamp cutouts, pencil drawings, and animal type cards on 23 pages. Several blank pages and not all pages are pictured. In the center are 11 picture photos of famous authors, thinkers & celebrities of the time with their ink penned AUTOGRAPHS. I confirmed with comparison research all the autographs along with the provenance within the scrapbook with other identified recorded signatures and believe they are all genuine. The authors include; famous Civil War General Lew. Wallace, who wrote Ben Hur, Matthew Stanley Quay (Famous Republican Pennsylvania Senator and Medal of Honor winner), Sir Henry M Stanley - Knighted Explorer of Africa. I have included the complete list below. There is also some original child drawings in pencil at the rear of the book with date.
I decided the best way to sell this is the most original condition rather than separate them out. Please don't hesitate to ask me any questions, but the photos I have included give a picture of the condition of the pages and the item. I will consider any reasonable offers near my ask, but I have not seen any other Victorian Scrapbooks with such a large collection of autographs.

Dark blue cover boards have wear, with some staining and soiling, Scrapbook Many trade cards mounted/glued; Heavy paper double sided mounted Pages many separated from spine, brittle, aged chipping. Autographs are clear ink penned under pictures and some pictures have been torn. Size 14" x 11"
