1896 Letter United States Hotel Boston Tea Party History Grandfather to Grandson For Sale

This is an original 1896 handwritten letter from a grandfather to his grandson on illustrated United States Hotel, Boston letterhead. Dated August 26, 1896, the two-page letter recounts the history of the Boston Tea Party and offers personal advice on being a good citizen. The letterhead for the hotel, run by proprietor Tilly Haynes, also mentions the Broadway Central Hotel in New York. The paper is in very good condition for its age with clear handwriting and original mailing folds.
