Offered here is a great antique magazine/publication titled \"American Horse-Owner\". Chicago, May 25, 1903. Vol. 38, No. 3. Original paper wraps. Numerous historic b/w photos, illustrations, and many great old ads! 32 pages. Large size, measures 12 1/2\" x 8 3/4\". One of the highlights of this publication is a few page article on President Theodore Roosevelt and horseback riding featuring 6 photos of the President riding his horse. These are rare photos! Also included are stories on the early automobile with Thomas Edison\'s electrical storage battery, the humane treatment of horses, care of the horse, carriage makers, Lieut-General Miles, plus the many wonderful ads.
This is a most rare offering. I could not locate any other copies or mention of this publication anywhere on the Internet. A must for collector\'s of Teddy Roosevelt or equestrian items. This likely the only copy in existence.
In good condition. Pages are clean & bright. No musty or loose pages. Pages display cross creases from where folded. Wraps display moderate soiling. A 1 1/2\" tear on front right edge, and on back left edge. A 1/2\" tear on upper front. Creases where folded. Smoke-free home.
