This lot tells a complete chronological story involving a legal debt collection dispute in early 20th-century Oregon, making it a stellar cross-collectible piece for agricultural steam engine enthusiasts, regional Pacific Northwest historians, and legal ephemera collectors.

April 21, 1905 (Portland, OR Branch): Discussion regarding a $3.00 advertising expense dispute with the Portland law firm \"Cake & Cake.\" Features the 321 Hawthorne Ave. address.2. April 25, 1905 (Portland, OR Branch): A follow-up letter to J.N. Hart of Baker City explaining the local office lacks itemized statements and is referring the issue to the home office. 3. May 6, 1905 (Portland, OR Branch): Letter enclosing the final itemized statement, tracking constable and advertising fees. Features an updated 344 Hawthorne Ave. address.4. December 20, 1905 (Richmond, IN Main Office): The main headquarters bypasses the branch to write directly to J.N.
