      Dear Laura,I meant to have written so you would get it today but forgot it till it is too late now. I don't know how you got it into your head that Mamma & Jessie were going to Buffalo. I wrote that Mamma said they were going to Port Leyden when Mrs. Snyder came back. Or I meant it that way, and of course won't need your mileage. I wish they could have gone to the funeral. I am going to see what my trustee thinks of my teaching a week or two longer if it keeps

      (Page 2)pleasant. No we haven't heard any particulars about Howard yet. Do you think you will get to Samantha's before you come home. Isn't there somewhere else where you could board where you wouldn't have to pay so much. That is a good deal. It don't leave you as much as I have. Did you see the fire at McKeever Saturday night. Julia Maure tried to make me think it was there. They didn't have any rummage sale at the bazaar this year. I have my pay for five weeks but have not been after any more. Guess I will get it all to once.

I am going to get some beef of Will, he said we could have it for 4¢ & 5¢ but to others 5¢ & 6¢. I wonder how much we could use. I guess I will close & write more next time.
