This original 1907 pharmacy receipt comes from Musick’s Pharmacy of Colorado Springs, Colorado. It was issued to Mr. J. F. Burns of 1315 Wood Avenue for a variety of medical and household items purchased during February of that year.
Among the listed purchases are carbolic acid, bismuth, boric acid, cuticura soap, castor oil, Listerine, formaldehyde, and other remedies that reflect the common medical practices of the early 20th century. The total amount came to $5.45, a significant sum for the time, and the bill is marked as fully paid on March 1, 1907.
Accompanying the statement is the official voucher from James F. Burns, which references payment through the First National Bank of Colorado Springs. This provides not only confirmation of payment but also an interesting connection to local financial history.
This is a fine example of early Colorado ephemera, combining pharmacy, medical, and banking history in one document. Collectors of local history, antique pharmacy receipts, and turn-of-the-century business records will find this to be a well-preserved and historically meaningful piece.
Authentic period piece related to family, historyor local heritage - well-suited for historical collections, genealogical /genealogy research, or museum acquisition.Vintage or Antique.
