Card is numbered 8822 and marked Copyright 1905 by Detroit Photographic Co. The reverse identifies it as a “Phostint” Card, published by the Detroit Publishing Co.
Postmarked Yellowstone, June 12, 1909, with an attached 1¢ Benjamin Franklin stamp. Addressed to Miss Mary Lannan, Cruise Block, Syracuse, New York.
Handwritten message dated June 11, 1909 describes seeing “most wonderful hot water” and being “200 feet in the air,” apparently referring to Yellowstone’s geysers.
Condition: Good antique used condition with age toning, corner/edge wear, light staining and general surface wear. Stamp and clear Yellowstone cancellation remain intact. Please see photos for exact condition.
