Charming original antique birthday postcard featuring deep purple violets surrounding a peaceful country cottage and meadow scene. The front reads “A Happy Birthday” in decorative Art Nouveau-style lettering, with a soft green border and lovely early-20th-century coloring.
The reverse is handwritten to Mrs. B. C. Baldridge of McCook, Nebraska and signed Anna B. The personal message reads approximately:
“Dear Mamma, I am coming home Wed. Mamma will you send me some money to come on. Anna B.”
Postmarked November 28, 1910, with the original cancelled green one-cent Benjamin Franklin stamp still attached.
