Original 1910 admission ticket with attendance-prize coupon for the Second Entertainment and Select Hop of the Bircher Heights Improvement Association, held at Marke’s Hall, corner of Florissant and Robin Avenues, St. Louis, Missouri, on Saturday evening, October 15, 1910.
This early 20th-century St. Louis civic and social ephemera documents neighborhood improvement associations that organized formal dances, entertainments, and community gatherings during a period of rapid urban growth. Admission was 25 cents, and the ticket notes access via the Union Avenue streetcar line.
The ticket includes a perforated “Coupon for Attendance Prize” section, indicating the use of door prizes or raffles at the event. Printed by Goodenough Printing, St. Louis. Format: printed admission ticket with perforated coupon (not a postcard).
Condition:
Original and period-used. Toning and handling wear present. The reverse shows period ink writing and sketching. Light edge wear and minor soiling noted. All printed text is legible. Please review the images for full condition details.
