The complete collection includes fifty-four antique postcards beautifully preserved in a vintage leather-burned accordion-style souvenir album from Yellowstone National Park dating precisely to the summer of 1912. The collection consists of fifty-one Detroit Publishing Company Phostint color lithographs, one exceptionally clean F. Jay Haynes printed in Germany Morning Glory Pool postcard, and one unused vintage postcard depicting the Salt Lake City Temple Grounds. A rare historical anchor for the tour is provided by a fifty-fourth card showing the Pike\'s Peak Summit House, which features a crisp, bold blue official circular postal cancellation dated August 1, 1912. The postcards follow the exact chronological entry route through the park, starting at the Gardiner Gateway Arch, moving through Fort Yellowstone, Mammoth Hot Springs, the Geyser Basins, Yellowstone Lake, the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, and concluding with iconic regional wildlife. The condition of the collection is outstanding, with fifty-two cards remaining completely flat, unmailed, and entirely free of wear, while only two individual cards bear flaws, consisting of a minor hairline crease on the edge of the Chittenden Bridge card and a crease in the lower right-hand corner of card number 8815. This intact, beautifully curated set serves as a pristine turn-of-the-century travel log and represents an elite investment-grade example of early American national park ephemera. Addendum: The vintage leather-burned album housing this collection is over a century old and exhibits some structural fragility. The suede cover, binding edges, and accordion-style paper folds are highly delicate and prone to tearing or cracking if handled roughly. The inner pages, and corner brackets are in excellent antique condition. It should be treated as a sensitive historical artifact and opened with care to maintain its current condition.
