March, 1916, Volume 1, Number 1 (the very first issue!)
with 4 pages, measuring 7 1/2 inches wide by 10 1/2 inches = opening up to 15 x 10 inches for reading or perusal.
Has 3 b&w halftone illustrations (2 different relays and one old-timey \"Magneto\" switchboard) + 2 more smaller line cuts showing telephone usage but which are also a lot more \"generic.\" + the halftone b&w photo on the separate, extra broadside.
Laid in as an extra piece is a 6x9 inch illustrated broadside (a typical broadside, printed on one side of the sheet only) which illustrates & tells about the company\'s \"new\" 600 line (!) Central Battery Multiple Switchboard. (I wish I had one of those 1916 switchboards to sell on !)
Part of this journal discusses the differences between a \"Central Battery Switchboard\" and a \"Magneto Switchboard.\" Page 3, while only showing a single switchboard, describes & tells about 6 different switchboards made by the company - anywhere from a 20 line switchboard to a 300 line switchboard.
This is really a neat piece of vintage telephone paper memorabilia.
