Original 1917 Manila Day ribbon issued by the United Spanish War Veterans (U.S.W.V.), Pacific Branch, National Home for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers, California.
This silk ribbon commemorates the 1898 Battle of Manila Bay from the Spanish-American War, and was used during veteran reunions and remembrance events.
Condition:
• Ribbon has a tear near the top (see photos).
• Some light wear consistent with age.
• Still displays well and remains a scarce piece of Spanish-American War memorabilia.
