Original August 15, 1919 handwritten WWI-era letter by Edgar Seeley, written from U.S. General Hospital No. 30 in Plattsburgh, New York, on American Red Cross stationery.
Seeley writes that he has been marked for discharge and is waiting to appear before a disability board. He discusses waiting for military papers from Washington, D.C., his expected discharge, travel plans home through Montreal and Vancouver, B.C., and mentions boating and canoeing while at the hospital.
Includes the original American Red Cross / U.S. General Hospital No. 30 envelope addressed to Mrs. V. Seeley in Independence, Oregon, with August 1919 military postal cancellation.
