This is a vintage advertisement for the Goodyear Airwheel, a low-pressure aviation tire developed in the late 1920s.The Airwheel was introduced in 1929 as the first low-pressure aviation tire, designed to mount directly to the hub, virtually eliminating the need for a traditional wheel.The advertisement's tagline is "From Skyway to Highway," highlighting its application in both aviation and potentially automotive use.To promote the new product, Goodyear constructed a modified 1929 Buick sedan with an extended chassis to tow a giant version of the tire on a national publicity tour.The Airwheel became an industry standard for aircraft tires.
