Original 1921 State of Colorado Notary Public Commission issued to William A. Burke of Denver, Colorado. This attractive oversized official commission is dated April 13, 1921 and bears the original signature of Governor Oliver H. Shoup, along with the signatures of Secretary of State Carl S. Milliken and the Deputy Secretary of State.
The document features an impressive engraved “State of Colorado” heading with detailed mining and agricultural vignettes, the original embossed Great Seal of the State of Colorado with pink ribbon intact, and recording endorsements on the reverse showing it was officially recorded in Denver on April 14, 1921.
A wonderful piece of Colorado political and legal history that would appeal to collectors of gubernatorial autographs, state documents, Colorado memorabilia, genealogy, or early 20th-century ephemera.
