Antique Freed-Eisemann Model FE-15 No. 284A Neutrodyne battery radio, dating to approximately 1925. A fantastic surviving piece of early American radio history, now roughly 100 years old.
The FE-15 is an early five-tube battery-operated receiver from the pioneering era of home radio. This example retains its large front tuning controls, internal chassis, wiring, coils and multiple vintage vacuum tubes.
Includes two additional loose vintage vacuum tubes and two additional knobs, all shown in the photos. One of the tubes carries an Eveready Raytheon label. Extra tubes and parts have not been tested and their functionality/compatibility is unknown.
UNTESTED / SOLD AS-IS. This radio has not been powered on or electronically tested. Because of its age and original battery-powered design, no attempt has been made to apply power. Functionality of the radio, tubes and individual components is unknown. It is being sold as an antique collectible, restoration project, display piece or for parts.
Condition is unrestored with substantial age-related wear including dust, dirt, scratches, scuffs, finish wear, oxidation/corrosion and worn markings. Interior components show considerable accumulated dust and age. Please review all photos carefully for exact condition and completeness.
