1927 The Lilley Co Knights Templar Masonic Uniform Ceremonial Frock Coat For Sale

Exceptional antique Knights Templar ceremonial frock coat manufactured by The Lilley Co., Columbus, Ohio, a well-known maker of military and fraternal uniforms and regalia.Interior maker/order label is handwritten with the name M. B. Johnson and dated 4/11/27, dating this coat to 1927. Beautifully tailored black wool frock coat featuring a fitted formal silhouette, high standing collar, fabric-covered buttons, shoulder strap detail and long vented/tailored back.Particularly striking are the original cuff insignia featuring red crosses surrounded by dimensional silver-tone metallic bullion-wire embroidery.
Additional period construction details include concealed functional pockets within the coat tails and original metal sword-related hardware at the left rear waist.
The interior is fully lined with contrasting striped sleeve lining. The lining is remarkably well preserved for the age of the garment.Approximate measurements taken flat:

One fabric-covered button is missing from the front. Normal minor age/storage wear may be present. Metallic bullion insignia shows age-appropriate patina. Please be close up of the bottom of the right sleeve there is some wear, and there is a very small 1 mm round hole in the sleeve.
