Original vintage black-and-white photograph featuring a 1946–1948 Plymouth Special De Luxe Club Coupe, P15 Series.
This is a particularly strong automotive photograph because the Plymouth is captured in a clear full side profile, showing the distinctive postwar body design in excellent detail. Visible features include the rounded fastback-style rear, integrated rear fenders, broad horizontal hood trim, two-door coupe configuration, rounded front fenders, period wheels and hubcaps, and the characteristic P15 body styling.
The P15 Plymouth Special De Luxe was introduced immediately following World War II and represented Plymouth’s upscale trim level. The Club Coupe was a two-door body style and is an increasingly interesting subject for collectors of original American automotive photography.
The photograph appears to have been taken when the automobile was relatively new, making it a nice piece of 1940s American automotive history rather than simply a later photograph of a classic car.
The reverse is largely blank and has a handwritten “32” near the upper corner. This appears to be a numbering or catalog notation rather than a date.
