A lot of vintage patterns from the 1920s -1960s are unprinted/unmarked punch hole patterns where markings and cutting lines are indicated by perforations (punch holes) in the tissue paper rather than ink printing.
One last thing, vintage pattern sizes were based on a different measurement system and are often considerably smaller than modern sizes. A modern size 10 might correspond to a vintage size 14 or even 16.
