(1933–1936)The stacked"WALLY FRANK" over "LONDON"block stamping on the left side, paired precisely with that circular "Football" COM (Country of Manufacture) stamp on the reverse, places the craft and NYC import timeline between1933 and 1936.
The briar has zero fills or pits, the cross grain and birds-eye patterns are sharp and unmarred, the rim has no charring and nearly 100 years of very minor tamp marks, and the stem is vulcanite with zero teeth chatter.
During the 1930s Great Depression era,Wally Frankacted almost like an unofficial U.S. subsidiary for Comoy’s. Comoy’s routinely supplied them with high-grade briar stummels stamped with the retailer's proprietary nomenclature.
