A wonderful surviving pre-WWII British souvenir set containing all twelve matching black-and-white photographic postcards together with their original printed storage envelope.
The photographs provide an excellent visual tour of Windsor and Windsor Castle and include numerous historically important royal and architectural subjects.

One of the most interesting cards in the group shows the Prince of Wales inspecting the Guards in the Quadrangle at Windsor Castle.
The Prince of Wales identified on this period view was the future King Edward VIII, adding an especially interesting royal-history element to the collection.
DATE
No publication date is printed on the original envelope.
The photographic imagery, period automobiles and royal captioning are consistent with an approximately late-1920s to 1930s date.
The presence of the Prince of Wales caption is particularly useful for dating, since Edward became King Edward VIII in 1936.
For accuracy, this set is therefore described as circa 1930s / pre-WWII rather than assigning an unsupported exact publication year.
SCARCITY
Individual early Windsor Castle postcards survive in significant numbers and should not be described as rare.
Much less commonly encountered is an intact matched souvenir packet retaining all 12 original pictorial postcards together with its original purpose-made envelope.
Current research did not locate another exact complete example of this “12 Pictorial Postcards of Windsor Castle – From Up-to-Date Views” packet presently indexed for sale.
I therefore consider the complete surviving packet uncommon/scarce, rather than rare.
The original envelope also retains wonderful period character, including the handwritten name “Madeline” across the front.
