• Original 1947 Goudey Indian Gum card #68, "Chief Bread, Chief of the Oneidas." This is not a reprint. • The R773 series was Goudey's final trading card issue, a 96-card reissue of their classic 1930s Indian Gum artwork. • Chief Bread led the Oneida, part of the Six Nations (Iroquois) Confederacy. The back describes him as a shrewd, well-educated leader whose people lived near Utica, New York, on the Mohawk River. • The portrait is detailed and colorful, with a feathered turban, shell necklace, and bright yellow robe. • The surface is clean with strong color. The corners are soft, with small nicks at the top-right and bottom-right, light edge wear, and toning on the back.
