1937 WALT DISNEY's GOOFY ORIGINAL PRODUCTION DRAWING ANIMATION ART PAGE 1930's For Sale

This is an Original Art Drawing of Goofy, done in 1937 during the production of the classic Goofy animated motion picture theatrical short Hawaiian Holiday by Walt Disney Productions. It is a great and wonderfully expressive production drawing of Goofy, done in pencil, with blue pencil highlights for the water. There are animator production notes in pencil as well, with numbering that likely indicates the scene this would have been prepared for, although apparently the scene was later changed. The full sheet measures approximately 12" by 10", and is standard 5-peghole animation paper (3 round, 2 rectangular). If you hold the paper up to the light, you can see the "Management Bond" watermark in the paper (which is another confirmation of authenticity). It is in very good overall condition, particularly considering the age of the piece (around 90 years old!), with paper aging and handling wear around the edges. The corners are rounded and there is a chip out of the top right corner. This is an outstanding rare vintage piece of Disneyana magic, and a magnificent example to own from the Golden Age of Disney featuring one of their most famous and most recognizable characters alongside Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck.
