Up for sale we have an original, WW2 Era, Zippo. It features the 4 barrel hinge design, along with the early 14-hole chimney. It\'s case has rounded corners with diagonal line etching on both sides, with the front featuring the initials \"WS\" Etched as well.
This Zippo contains one of their EARLIEST inserts, showing no branding whatsoever. This factor alone dates it between 1933-1946.
The 4 barrel hinge is missing a barrel, and appears to have been remedied with a paperclip in the past. The strike wheel spins surprisingly well, and would likely strike right up if a fresh flint was inserted.
We are deeming this lighter a restoration project for whomever the next owner may be. Typically, we would submit vintage/damaged zippos to their repair center before sale, but with this ones age and rarity, we chose to leave all of its core components original and untouched.
