The colorful scene depicts a hunter at a lakeside campsite, complete with tent, canoe, campfire, cooking gear, rifle, and axe. The artwork is signed Hy Hintermeister at lower right and titled Where Action Counts near the bottom of the image.

What makes this example especially appealing is that the 1938 calendar pad remains complete, beginning with January 1938. A gold Season's Greetings card is still stapled over the calendar pad, giving the piece additional period character.
The bold blue, pink, yellow, black, and gold geometric border gives the calendar a wonderful Art Deco-era appearance and makes it an especially attractive display piece.

Very good vintage condition overall. The illustrated image itself is in excellent condition, with strong, vibrant color and excellent display appeal. The outer calendar shows light age-related wear, including minor edge/corner wear and some toning/spotting consistent with its age. The calendar pad is complete. Please review all photographs carefully for the best representation of condition.
