This sale contains a total of 2 different 1943 Pocket Guides to include: NORTH AFRICA & WEST AFRICA
These vintage Military different handbooks are used, but are all in very good - like new condition (considering their age).They have little to no noticeablewear and have no creasing, no writing, no rips, tears, foxing or missing pages.
They are each approximately 4.25 inches wide by 5.25 inches tall. They were for the use of Military personnel only. Not to be republished, in whole or in part, without the consent of the War Department during World War II.
They are small informational pocket guides printed for all Military personnel ordered to serve abroad and each contain the needed information regarding each Country to include information regarding the different Cultures, food, religion and languages. Each contains information regarding Respectful behavior and the geography found in the regions and other important pieces of information for the visiting US Soldier. There is also a Glossary of useful words and phrases commonly used for each Country with simple pronunciation guides, plus a space for notes at the end of each pocket guide.
