Lovely vintage linen postcard titled “To the Wayfarer… A Friend of Man the Tree Speaks.” It features a colorful mountain and garden scene beside a sentimental conservation-themed poem describing the many gifts and comforts provided by trees.
Published by the American Art Post Card Co., Boston, Massachusetts, and numbered E-7218. The postcard was mailed from Waldoboro, Maine, on August 15, 1946, and retains its green one-cent George Washington stamp. Addressed to Miss Eleanor Spurr of Melrose, Massachusetts, with a handwritten vacation message from Waldoboro.
Condition: Pre-owned vintage condition with expected age toning, light corner and edge wear, scattered small spots, handwriting, postal cancellation, and a faint crease or surface line near the upper-left area. Please examine all photographs closely, as they form part of the description.
