Vintage Parker 51 Aerometric fountain pen, dating to approximately 1948–1949, with a desirable 1/10 14K gold-filled lined cap and classic hooded-nib design.The Aerometric filling system is marked PARKER “51” and includes the early filling instructions “Press Ribbed Bar Firmly 6 Times,” “Use Dry-Writing Superchrome Ink,” “The Parker Pen Co.,” and “Made in U.S.A.” The early “6 Times” instruction is associated with the earliest Parker 51 Aerometric production period.The gold-filled cap is marked PARKER and 1/10 14K GOLD FILLED and has an attractive vertical lined finish. The exterior is personalized with the initials G.R.C.Condition: Very good vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and normal use, including light surface scratches, small scuffs, handling marks, and light wear to the finish. No major cracks or significant damage noted from visual inspection.
