Vintage Smiths Enfield 3-Train Westminster Chime Mantel Clock
Original British mid-century mechanical mantel clock manufactured by The Enfield Clock Co. Ltd. for Smiths.
The movement is clearly marked:

The dial is marked:
MADE IN ENGLAND
This is a three-train spring-driven mechanical movement with Westminster chime. The clock has three winding arbors on the dial and a multi-rod chime mechanism. Smiths Enfield movements of this type are documented with three mainsprings, five hammers/rods and Westminster quarter-hour chimes.
The clock has been tested running with the pendulum and the Westminster chime operating. A video showing the clock in operation is included with the listing.

Smiths Enfield mechanical movements of this type can be sensitive to their final position and the angle of the surface on which the clock is installed.
After transportation or when placed on a different table or shelf, the pendulum beat may require a small adjustment before the clock will run reliably. This is a known characteristic of these movements and is not necessarily an indication of a mechanical fault.
The clock should therefore be placed on a stable surface and carefully positioned/levelled after delivery. A minor beat adjustment may be required at the buyer\'s location.
The clock is currently running and chiming as demonstrated in the video, but this is a vintage mechanical clock and final setup or regulation may be required after transportation.
Condition
Good vintage condition.
The wooden case retains its original mid-century appearance and shows normal signs of age and previous use, including minor marks, small imperfections and variations in the finish.
The chrome bezel has some age-related wear. The dial remains attractive and clearly legible, with minor signs of age visible on close inspection.
The convex glass is present and intact.
The movement has been tested and is currently running and chiming.
