Original Vintage 1950s The Chicken House Restaurant Menu A.Q. Brand Hi-Way 71 Springdale Arkansas
Opened in 1947 by Roy Ritter, an Arkansas poultry pioneer, the AQ Chicken House took its initials from the \"Arkansas Quality\" broilers he raised at his Springdale farm and served on Highway 71. The Chicago Tribune reported on its opening, and over the years its Southern-style fried chicken drew diners from across the country. Ritter ran the restaurant until 1970; the Highway 71 landmark lasted more than 75 years before closing in 2023 and being revived in downtown Springdale in 2026.
It measures 7.5\" x 6.5\" closed and 13\" x 7.5\" open
