Great group of 1950\'s USS Power memoribila, a unused shellback certificate. It is signed \"By his Servant\" im guessing the Commanding Officer. Also included is a unused form that instructed how to fill out the certificate.With this group is a 10\" x 6\" black and white photo of the USS Power DD-839, a Gearing Class Destroyer of the US Navy. The first ship to be named for FIrst Lieutenant John V. Power USMC who was posthumously awared the Medal of Honor for heroism in the Battle of Kwahalein.This ship also was involved in the Project SHAD tests off Newfoundland.The USS Power was launched June 30, 1945.
Next are 2 full page 13\" x 8\" Plan of the Day sheets off the USS Power dated 11 June 1952 and 13 June 1952.
