Original Vintage 1960s Sheraton Hotel Restaurant Dinner Menu
Sheraton grew out of a Depression-era partnership between Ernest Henderson and Robert Moore, Harvard classmates who turned to hotels because they expected real estate to recover fastest; they bought the Continental in Cambridge, Massachusetts shortly after 1933 and then the Stonehaven in Springfield. The chain took its name from one of the Boston hotels they acquired next, whose electric sign reading \"Sheraton Hotel\" would have been prohibitively costly to replace. A 1946 merger with the U.S. Realty and Improvement Company created the Sheraton Corporation of America, and by the years this menu comes from the company had computerized its bookings with the 1958 Reservatron system and was opening hotels abroad, from Tel Aviv in 1961 to Venezuela in 1963. In 1968 the International Telephone and Telegraph Corporation acquired Sheraton as a wholly owned subsidiary.
