Seven vintage issues of The Classic Car, the quarterly publication of the Classic Car Club of America, preserved together in a handsome period binder made for the CCCA Southern California Region.
The binder is the thing that makes this collection particularly appealing. Finished in brown leather-textured material with gilt lettering and an automobile device, it is marked “The Classic Car Club of America / Southern California Region” and bears the club’s period Hollywood Boulevard address. It presents the magazines as they were collected and kept by an enthusiast during the heyday of the organized American classic-car movement.
The seven issues span 1964 through 1967 and are richly illustrated with significant prewar automobiles, club activities, historical material, restoration and collecting information, and the cars and personalities surrounding the CCCA.

Condition
Good vintage condition overall. The magazines show age-related handling, toning, rubbing and occasional minor marks to the covers. The binder shows modest exterior wear consistent with age and use and remains attractive and structurally sound. The collection has a noticeable but not overpowering old-book/storage odor.
