About the Machine
The 1966 Suzuki T20 Hustler was one of the motorcycles that established Suzuki as a serious performance manufacturer on the world stage. Introduced in the mid-1960s, the T20 combined advanced engineering, impressive speed, and everyday reliability in a lightweight package.
Power came from a 247cc air-cooled two-stroke parallel twin equipped with Suzuki\'s innovative Posi-Force oil injection system, eliminating the need for premixing fuel and oil. The engine produced approximately 29 horsepower, making the T20 one of the fastest production 250cc motorcycles of its era.
A major selling point was its six-speed transmission, an uncommon feature in the mid-1960s that helped the Hustler achieve strong acceleration and excellent top-end performance. Contemporary road tests regularly praised the bike\'s combination of speed, handling, and value.
The T20 became particularly popular in North America and Europe and is widely regarded today as one of Suzuki\'s most important early performance motorcycles.
